I've met that guy a couple of times. He's the guy w/ the Pinzguaer (sp?) and the 4wd motorhome. He use to come by Land Rover Fort Worth all the time. He had a red FJ62? w/ a 502 mercruiser engine in it. He also owns and off-shore boat building business or something in Florida. His buddy that did all our paintless dent repair had a 90 something FJ w/ an LT1 in it and GM tranny and T-case. I saw the guy again when I was up in Ouray, CO a few years back...small world or six degrees of Grayson?

    random build?

So I'm drunk but I had an idea the other night. What about a 60s 4dr, land yacht, dropped and bagged a few inches, with a built.......diesel under the hood....like a 12v Cummins. I have pictured a 63-65ish Continental 4dr convertible wiht a black smoke puffin' diesel with all the modern goodies ......it would be differnet. dumb?

you do realize the cummins is an insanely tall engine the valve cover would be sticking out the hood

Hence the word "drunk" in his post. Something like that would definitely be unique if that's what you're going for.

I really surprised it took someone that long to mention the freak. Its a bad ass rig, and doubly so since it a fullsize, and one of the reasons I started looking into alaska as a place to live, if you can believe that. They have some rather unique and sweet rigs up there. I especially like the two dodge rams on that site. The sweetest one is kodiac dodge or something like that, but there is another with a dove tailed bed and coilovers on there as well.

It was brought up in my pickemup build. Its not exactly where I want to go with mine, but there is lots of ideas, tech, and pics in it.
