Does it have one piece shafts in the rear yet? That would be the first thing to do. Call Collins Bros Jeep, BUT MAKE SURE you ask for Fred or Brett. (TAMOR folk) I think this is the number to go directly to them: 972-575-8762

With a dollar-fifty for a bottle of wine,
I know just what I'm lookin for
Thunderbird will do just fine.
also i could be wrong but don't you need a new carrier for the front after 3.54 (the rear as well but the detroit will replace the carrier)
Red 81 CJ5, 35's, 4.10 and detroit, 4 to 1 dana 300, tbi efi, flat belly, cage, chromos and auzzie in front... sometimes runs. body damage to come
I've got the gears and carrier for the 30. $50. It'll be 2 weeks before I can get them.
yah i have 1 piece moser axles in the rear and i am very familiar with collins bros, yah i think that nekw carriers are required, and thanks "eight" that would be great takes care of the carrier problem for the 30 and the detroit will take care of it for the AMC i still need new bearings seals and shimsk though, right
Yea you should get new bearings shims and seals. You only need a new carrier for the 20 if you have 2.73 gears now, but most jeeps of your year came with that. If you have any lower gears, you could just put in a drop in locker to save a little money, not many people break them in 20s.
I also have stub shafts I could sell you. And I'll throw in the diff cover and a pinion yoke with the gears if you'd like.
Well now that you're in the club be nice to Fred and Brett, "Very good" deals have been had by club members through those guys if they like youOriginally Posted by 85cj7

are the stub shaft pinion yoke and cover for the Dana 30, and how much for all ring and pinion, carrier, and above?
yea they're all from a nearly complete narrow track axle I have. I guess stubs are worth about $15 each, I have 2 of them, so $80 for all.
when did you say you would have those for sale?
They're in an axle 200 miles from here. I can bring them back in 2 weeks.
ok i'll be waiting for them email me at rkblankenship@tamu.edu, or call at 214-886-2559.
