I think that's the jack we have. It was fine for a long time, then the seals went out, can't get new ones, blah blah blah... It still works for jacking up, just not maintaining height. It slowly leaks down while you work, not very comforting.

Thunderbird will do just fine.
they're called jack stands, try em sometime.
Jimmy, I am glad this came back up. I went and talked to the guys at the MP and they have the cheap junk that the government is famous for buying. No brandnames or even stickers on most. They have about 15 different ones and only about 4 or 5 still work. I may get a few and try to tear em down and rebuild them. If the Iraqis can do it, I know I can.
You don't use jackstands when changing the oil on the honda. In and out, mostly just my arm, 5 seconds...

i boguht a jack a few days ago from sam's it was a michelin 3ton, I used it twice and it is already throwing up in my carport.
The one I have is a Bush. I dont know if thats a brand or what but there is a place in Corpus that sells them so I assume thats where my dad got it, many, many moons ago. It is litteraly probably 20 or 30 years old and still works prety well, it used to be able to pick up the ass end of the burban but not anymore. I think its a 3 ton but I'm not sure. The hydraulic ram on it probably needs to be rebuilt but it works well enough for me.
