On the 8th day god created the Super Swamper TSL and said "go forth and kick ass"
what i have. http://wavesport.com/habitat-74
but probably not the direction you want to go in.

this is what I got. mine is older and not a fold up though. It has a wood frame w/ some kind of vinyl stretched over it. What I like about these type of kayaks is that they are effortless to paddle, can carry a crap load of gear, and are super stable and will keep you dry. the only negative is mine is heavy and the bottom doesn't like sharp rocks.
i have 2 of the 14' wilderness system fishing kayaks
... my dad gets dealer prices on everything
how real are those paddler weight suggestions?

this thing looks pretty kick ass too

With graphics like that people would probably assume I know what I'm doing

...
those are white water kayaks...I think jimmy wants more of a touring/fishing kayak
those kayaks are real unstable aren't they? and they track like **** so they can turn on a dime in white water. I think they are a PITA on any kind of flat water where actual paddling is required. they are more of a sit and let the current guide you along type deal and then paddle to redirect change directions.

Blue boat came with plans to build a cheap and easy glass over plywood canoe.
here's what mine looks like. I bought mine for $150 from a friend of mine at a fly fishing swap meet.
Mine has a red hull and yellow top. My Dad has one also. He built his from a kit. Mine was already built. You can find them every once in a while. Check Austin Craig's List...lots of tree huggers that are into that kind of thing plus Lake Travis is always crammed w/ these kind of boats.
You are more than welcome to try it out to see if you like it.
We used to have a canoe but it was fiberglass and sat in our backyard for 20 yrs flipped over on saw horses. My dad had an aluminum before that but he almost died on a river one time when it got sideways in a rapid and the canoe folded in half around a rock. Good story.
Karl's uncle has a pink canoe, its a story of expiramental surgeries and one man's strife to become a woman, but i've probably divulged too much private family history already.
I thought this was a cool old pic. I use to have a willy's like this.
