why would you buy just the transfercase?

that 85 is a good deal. talk to Fred about rebuilding one, I think the off the shelf mega rebuilder longblock was the right thing to do.

Brandon, my cousin wants to sell his Range Rover. It's not the year you were after but it's cheap - $1000 for an '89. Needs a few hundred bucks worth of work. It was just delivered to the shop from NOLA to fix and sell. Pretty much stock with the exception of a 2" lift and 32" tires.

scratch the league city one. it will be a rust bucket. probably saw the beach. people on the coast have different ideas of what exactly rust free is. I have looked at two trucks close to the gulf. one in freeport and the other in Harlingen. Both owners said no rust. I could stick my hand through the dash by the winshield on one and the other had nice natural drains in the floor and doors. don't even waste your time driving there.

im the one who got the '85 to run. fawking guy. its not running rough on two cylinders... its running on ONLY two cylinders. it tried to jump out of the engine bay. cylinders were all 60-90PSI. has some rust issues around front fenders, few holes around the cross emebers, and inside on rear on the wheel wells. PS is doesnt work. rear gate/window doesnt work. interior is stripped and needs new front seats. rear seat is gone. cracked front windshield, he claims the hubs need to be rebuilt because the drive shaft spins but the axle doesnt engage.

just called to see what he thought about my low ball offer. he sold it for 750.

it is a sliding scale; cheap if it is stock or needs repairs, more if it is done.
