Thanks to everyone who came. I think everyone had a great time and it was a lot of fun. Too bad we couldn't go to 47, but I think we destroyed enough stuff in the mud. Post up pictures if you have them. They guy with the nice camera is going to edit and post on some vimeo thing.

I should have stayed here and joined in on the festivities. Instead I made little progress on the jeep and managed to throw a rod in the chevelle.

It had been sitting for a month so I decided to clean it up and run it. Topped off the fluids and took it to the car wash. I was cruising back home on 45 doing around 65mph at 3800rpm just as usual, no full throttle assaults. Then....BAM!...oil down and white smoke across the freeway. Coasted to the shoulder where I left a puddle of VR1 and called AAA for a ride home.

The wrecker driver was cool and told me about his ol' 74 Monte Carlo with a 454 and "huge cam"... He said he kept a photo album of all the cool cars he towed and asked if the chevelle could join the ranks, oh how I felt honored...

Definitely a good time. The jumps were a nice day-ender. I had my doubts cause the hill didn't have much slope, but they actually caught some good air...especially the F150. And Garrett's engine just sounds good when it does anything.

Glad that Cook and rider were ok. I didn't even know what was going on when I got over there. I walked up and someone told me Cook rolled his truck...that's when I finally noticed there was no roof!

Also good to see a Tamor relic show up...Aaron Burbach!
