An old metal office desk would work well for what you are doing. An old solid door also makes a good bench top if you come across one for whatever reason.

yeah, i looked at some A&M surplus desks and alost got one, but I'm past the point of making due. i know what i want, just looking for a deal on one.
if you want doors i have a pile of used steel doors like the kind at tamu and wallmart in a pile at my lot
