they are designed to up the weight rating of the wheel. that being said, the GVW limitation of the vehicle is still the suspension/axles. i dont really see what changing to these wheels gets them....

lil update today. Still buying the last remaining pieces and parts and crap to get this thing wrapped up.

Russ down at Baertrax ended up setting the gears and installing the Detroit in my diff for $200. That to me is money well spent, cause I didn't have to screw with anything. I dropped it off two days ago and my wife picked it up yesterday done. I am very happy.

My buddy has been working on it the past couple of days and is currently changing out the oil pan to a 2WD T100 pan as I type this. He also got the steering box mounted up, the firewall plate put in, and the front spring hanger in. Tonight I am going to throw the rear diff in and reinstall the rear axles and hopefully get a mock up shot with the wheels and tires on the rear.

    yay for springs

Oh I think the steering shaft I got was too long...

move the box further forward. that way it lines up right and you can redrill the perches to move the axle forward another inch or so. you wont have to worry about the draglink hitting the tierod on compression too.

you can get custom u bolts at any spring shop and they are cheap. not only is it unsafe but there is no need to heat and bend one when u can get one made in the correct machine for less than 10$.
