they may be a little bit cheaper for smaller axles, but i needed some for my d70, you also have to factor in that there is very little if any competition in this town for things like that so it will be more expensive
did you miss the 4" part? no he didn't he ordered from ruff stuff
Red 81 CJ5, 35's, 4.10 and detroit, 4 to 1 dana 300, tbi efi, flat belly, cage, chromos and auzzie in front... sometimes runs. body damage to come
I had hinted to the wife what I wanted for my birthday (said tires above) and in the off chance she didn't pick up on the hint I wanted a back up plan (said shatty surplus tires). I will now have 4 shatty surplus tires for sale soon.![]()
Any reason you went with radials over bias?
On the 8th day god created the Super Swamper TSL and said "go forth and kick ass"
The bias's in 37" are 13.5" wide, and reported to be even wider than that. I like tall and skinny for the contact patch so I liked the 12.50's which measure a true 12.50. Also I am still going to be driving the Tacoma to and from the trails on occasion when it is just me camping for a couple of days so I wanted to keep the best on road manners I could and still have the Rockers.
EDIT: Looking at the invoice that came in with em, the price difference is damn near negligible, the Bias Ply's are $315 a tire and she got these radials for $321 a tire.

Ok pulled an H1 apart last night and damn near gave myself a hernia trying to unfawk the PVC insert from within the goodyear MT so I could install the Rockers. HA! I am ASSuming I might need some kind of special tire tools because my two prybars weren't doing the trick. I mounted the tire back on the wheel the way it was. Any suggestions on how ya'll have done these before, since I have absolutely no experience mounting these things?
Also got the Taco Box in last night, it is the only clean spot under the damn truck...

turn the pvc sideways and set it on a 5 gallon bucket. Add straight liquid soap. Push down on tire.
My old usa6x6 inserts have a bit of give to them, so they are much easier to put in and take out than a true piece of pvc pipe.
