I would like to head back to Buena Vista area again and hit Carnage back up, then try for Wheeler Lake again. Last trip we had talked about making it a week long trip to have more time for repairs and relaxation. Who all thinks they may be in? As of now, I have an open spot on the GN.

I'll take the open spot for the Cruiser again. that worked out great last time. I'm much more likely to be able to make it if I can fly out and back. Makes for a much quicker trip for me.

I think that we should try to hit up some other hardcore trails and just camp at the trail heads.

also there is an offroad park in Rangely, located in northern Colorado that is supposed to be pretty awesome

Damn, that is not far off. Isn't June a little early? When did you go last year? Alot fo snow still on the trails?

We went a week earlier last year, but the Buena Vista area is the 'bannana belt' and that is the only week that I could go with still trying to plan around TTC. There was some snow on a few trails, but not too bad. Had the beast been running correctly, we would have been able to make better progress on Wheeler Lake, and I wouldn't have had to turn around at the top of the other. No brakes and no clutch is a mother to wheel with.

Scotti and I wheeled all that area in Sept '06 and it was still nice. Although, we did get snow on the last day and had to turn back up high since the MTRs weren't up to the snow duty. I think you'll still be busting snow in June on the high trails.

I will see what I can do, but going in August or September would work alot better for me. I figured this trip was a no go this year so I was just planning my regular camping trip up there with some friends. We were tentative on Labor Day weekend.
