First trip of the year, Down South Off-Road 9-10

We are hoping to make this a good first trip for new members, it's an easy 1.5-2 hour drive from College Station and has a pretty good variety of wheeling. Plan on making this a day trip and for anyone interested we'll be leaving out of north gate sometime in the morning.

*Also all student members wanting to help at the Chupacabra 300 are highly recommended to come out, because we will require attendance to 1 safety seminar before the race.

Some helpful hints for new members, this park mild so most of the stuff is not mandatory just know what you can and can't do with your vehicle.:

    Vehicle:
Front and rear tow points (really important)

    Gear:
    Recovery stuff (strap, shackles)
A way to communicate other than yelling (CB preferably but a cell phone should work)
    Spare parts and tire(s)
    tools
Ice chest with plenty of water or other beverages
    swim suit

Cool glad to see a trip so soon after the mall meeting. Make sure and tell people to bring their swimsuits.

As I posted in the other thread, I will probably have the Klogger out there. Maybe you guys could set a time to meet at Northgate, so I could estimate what time you would be out there.

The mall meeting that is at Sam's club??

I won't be meeting at northgate because I plan on getting into Houston early so I can drop the dog off, and with that being said I'll have the back seat open but you'll have to share with Hondo.
