    Kayak Trailer

I'm building a kayak trailer for a cousin. Frame is 3x2x.120, Tongue is 3x3x3/16, the rest will be built out of 1.75x.120 round tube. Using a 5 foot wide 3500 lbs axle and the plan is to fit 3 kayaks, centered, stack on top of each other.

And a picture of my new heater:

Why are you using tube instead of pipe? isnt that going to raise the cost quite a bit?

I would gues square tube because it is easier and faster to cut the connections.

    More:

Of course I put the ugliest weld right where you can see it but I'll clean it up. Still haven't figured out how to keep my machine from splattering so much on the highest setting "E". I know less wire speed or more heat should reduce splatter but I can turn wire down until it won't burn in like I'd want and there is little affect on spatter. Left top was two passes (bad cut with the plasma left a gap) then a cap on the E setting, right side was two passes on "d".

I think it will hold... For whatever reason, I will be upside down welding thru dog crap where no one can see the weld, and it is f'ing beautiful, looks like someone tig'd it. Then I go to the weld that everyone sees first and the welder over heats or I run out of gas, etc... And I have a giant tird...

I couldn't tell on the Angle 30 light bar

I have no doubt that it will hold, the weld its self doesn't look to bad and the two that are under it were ****ing beautiful. It just pisses me off when I leave a trail of splatter.

run more wire I usually run the wire a little higher than what is suggested, and a wire wheel cleans up spatter really nicely

Can you build it where the rack is removeable, then it could haul a 4 wheeler, dirtbike, camping crap, apartment, etc?
May as well with it being plenty heavy.

I could, but this one is pretty kayak specific. It will probaly end up with some type of floor so you could carry 2-3 kayaks on top and camping **** on bottom
