Can you fit inside of it? Those old single cabs were tight, and my big ass couldn't drive em. No matter what, great deal man. And don't discount those axles they can be built strong. I run a Toyota front axle in my buggy with a 22re powering dual Toyota cases turning 39" BFG stickies.
So took it out to downsouth this afternoon. Here are the goods and the bads
Goods:
Drove off the trailer
Drove on the trailer
Bads:
Not locked in the front
Not locked in the rear
Very doubtful it has gears in the case or axle
Does not have power steering, watch your thumbs
While it never would not start, I had to jiggle the wires to the fuel pump a couple times
Got hot a few times, not sure if this is a problem, because it got hot after I was bumping it and dumping the clutch off the rev limiter....
Suspension is rougher than ****, I need to take the overloads out of the leafs
Tires on it suck for mud
So, essentially it is a running 22R toyota for $500, it is not as great a deal as I thought, but I think it is still ok for $500.
Oh and the rear seats fell out 10 minutes in....

i may have an extra power steering pump layin around, i have two 22re's in parts in my garage. I'm still running a toyota ps pump on my chevy engine

I just watched a spider dominate a fly on the wall outside, i thought would would travis do? and i did the opposite, spider lives!
I had thoughts that it was not "geared", it is not as a good deal as I thought, but it is still a running, driving, four wheel drive for $500.

That's sweet! I was looking at it thinking of it for a 4-seater buggy platform... but that sounded too much like work.But Formula Toy bodies are made for those frames.
I can't believe you got it for that cheap though. That's a smoking deal. If it has a "Marlin" I usually think dual cases. So it would be obvious with the two shifters. Not side by side like a Stack/Atlas, but a second one about a foot back from the other. I guess they could regear a single case also. I'm not in that circle much anymore.
If I would have known (and had not stayed up until 5AM the night before), I would have come down and wheeled with you on the maiden voyage.

So this thing flexes like crap, I don't understand it, all the toyota fegs beat off to these chevy 63" springs, but on this thing it flexes like crap, do you guys think the overloads could be f'ing it up that much, I'll pull the overloads off, but I just don't think it will improve that much...

Need ya'lls opinion, the 35's on it suck, no tread, I picked up some 33X14.50 swampers with about 40% tread, with these I could weld the front and rear and pretty well rock out and not worry about breaking shafts too often. Or I also have some 37X12.50 Goodyear MTR's I used to roll on the Klogger. They have probably 80% tread, but I am worried if I locked the front I would break shafts all the time. I am leaning towards the 37 because they are bigger and with more tread, but afraid if I run stock birf's/shafts I will break shat left and right. Thoughts?

I am leaning that way, but also leaning towards welding the front, any yota people have experience, think it will break shafts non stop?
