I think that is considered a 3 link. That is most likely what I will do just b/c is seems to be very simple. Are you going to have cut the crossmember? What are you doing for the trackbar?

SAS's on TTB fords are prolly the easiest SAS's to do. for removing the old front end, all that is needed is to grid off some rivets. unlike other front ends that require torching several brackets. for instillation, all you have to do is weld on a trac bar mount and move the radius arm mounts.
i would say that he is using the stock 78 bronco tracbar. with enough lift is it nessacary to shave the engine crossmember?

I'm using a superlift adjustable trac-bar...$125 thru O'Reilly. and yes, i did have to cut both halves of the engine cross member significantly, 4" or more, and remove the factory power steering cooler. I have pics of that too in the roll needing to be finished...i'm doin' what i can. oh, and to take the TTB off only took 5 bolts on each side once the wheels were off (radius arm, coil keeper, shock, pivot bolt, and steering linkage @ the knuckle). i think that part took all of 30mins.
Hey Austin - looked for you on Sunday at 360 to no avail. Get those pics done i want to see what it looks like. My TTB pisses me off more everyday.

good job Austin! I am glad to see that someone in the club has some balls.
Just cut the crap off people! Follow Austin's lead, it's not that bad, I think I have done at least 4 swaps already.

The office sucks - I wanna go wheeling!
well in my defense- my sas was postponed not due to lack of BALLS, but lack of FUNDS after my SAS credit card paid for a new tranny...Originally posted by redcagepatrol

but i am damn near ready to do it... just need a few little things now and i'll have it done...
Maybe the reason I didn't get the swap done was because I didn't have a "SAS credit card". I refuse to be in debt for the swap. How many of you can say you did the swap witout using a credit card or long for any of it?
proudy paid cash
then again mine came with one
Looks good Austin, should be fun out at Llano.
