    I found out to combat case flex with the d-300 that people are using the inspection cover from a d-20 which is thicker and hold greater capacity.
    I'm thinking of going this route as well as making a 1/4" flange that extends out to to the rear output.

    This is a d-20 but the same thing could easily be built for the d-300.
