i ended up dropping it off at a local shop. they can get it back to me today.
Ballistic fab can suck my balls. They have told me it will be the end of next week 4 weeks in a row now. I have been calling daily this week. I am so pissed. I am almost at the point of making my own and just telling them to blow me.
what arent they sending you?
They are having some major problems with customer service. You should check out the thread in the ballistic zone on pirate
Shock towers
I bet that they are having a hard time like most manufactures getting back up to speed after slowing down so much
My brief understanding of the topic is that they got very mixed up from effectively shutting down for two weeks during KOH. Also, they have a sales rep that they recently let go who dealt with 90% of there orders who was notorious for the "two weeks" line and have given a lot of customers grief. It seems like Dave is making a real effort to turn recent events around and I hope he succeeds as they have some truly great products and production capabilities.
I just read the Ballstic Bash thread and that was rough. Tate I would get in contact with Dave at Ballistic for best luck.
Sucks. I was missing a couple inner seals for the dana 60. Now I am waiting for napa to send me them. Won't have the axle back until the end of the week. This is getting frustrating waiting on parts. I really need to get this thing together.
Looks like it was a good thing you didn't bring it into Atomic4x4

Just makes me glad that we don't deal with the general public. Pricing pressures keep you from being thorough. In this case it could have killed someone. That sucks for all involved. I guess that's why Sunray charges so much.
Did you ever receive these?
I just saw on Ballistics pirate zone that they finished a production run of the shock towers yesterday. So if you still have the order I would expect to see them soon.

They are shipped but not here yet
I am going to order the rear driveshaft soon and was wondering who is best out there. High Angle and Tom Woods are two companies I called and they are in the same ball park on price but Tom Woods would have it here super fast compared to High Angle. Who else is there out there that would be worth looking into?
I am looking at 1350 flange style cv front and standard 1350 rear 26.25" long.
is thicker 120 wall worth the extra $50 from Tom Woods?
i figured it was worth... better chance when dropped on a rock
i have a high angle driveshaft and his customer service is great, i broke the ds and it was my fault but he fixed it all i had to pay was shipping back to him
Still waiting on front axle. They finally have the seals to finish it but they are swamped with other projects. Mine keeps hitting the back burner.
Things to do
Finish crossmember
Transfercase linkage
Driveshafts
Mount and bleed ram
Put 60 back together and under jeep
Front shock towers and air shocks.
Trackbar
Exaust
That is a lot for one week with knowing I won't have time to touch it this weekend
Driveshafts are ordered. I would have to pay an extra 200 to have them here by Friday so I am out for sure this weekend. I will be ready to wheel tuesday though.
that sucks only 2 days to late, couldn't find anyone local to make them for you
Tom Woods
I would have paid the extra money if there wasn't still a laundry list if thinks to do on it. I did however get the front done today and now have it in full roller. I can't upload a pic from my phon but have it on facebook if anyone is curious. It came out at the exact ride height I was shooting for too.
Makes me wanna wheel so bad
pic
looks great, need to get mine back together too bad it won't look as nice
Thats pretty damn slick man. What is the final wheelbase?
After I adjust the links it will be somewhere between 112"-114"
Looks great!
looks awesome!!
The driveshafts came in on tuesday. I installed the rear one the other day. Bad dood. Tonight I built the mount for the ram but ran out of fuel for the welder and didn't get to finish final welding it up. So I decided to run the ram hoses. I tried cutting the high pressure lines with a hack saw because I was out of cutoff wheels. No dice. Called it a day. Hopefully I will get around to messing with it later this week and take it for it's first spin around the block.
I finally got around to working on this thing again. I started out by running the last few lines for the ram. I also ziptied all the loos hoses and wires that were haning around without fenders on.
I tried to start it to bleed the ram and no luck. My battery was dead. threw it on the charger and worked on a couple other loose ends.
I picked a cone style airfilter to get rid of the airbox that nolonger fit under there. I also ajusted the track bar because the axle was too far to the passanger side.
After the battery sat on the charger for half a day I started it up and bleed the system.
I went to take it for a spin and learned that the transfercase was in N. I crawled under the jeep and got it in 2H and went on my way.
It drove fine around the block. I came back home to bleed the ram some more. after adding fluid the top hose on the pump blew off. I slipped it back on and added a hose clamp which was not on there. Then the hose bursted. I guess I need to swap this hose out with the high pressure hose I have left over. my garage has about half a gallon of power steering fluid spread everywhere (walls and all)
I decided to call it lunch time. I will take some pics after I eat lunch and replace that line.
top hose as in the -10 hose or -6 high pressure hose that goes to the orbital

Looks good Tate. You're going to have to upgrade tires already! :D
looks good, when is the maiden voyage?
Freakin awesome
Is it just me or is the slider on the drivers side to far forward. And what are you going to do about front fenders?
