He said he is already gonna change his wheelbase so d-shafts are kinda a moot point.
^what he said.
On a similar note, I want to make new driveshafts using a double cardan driveshaft from a donor vehicle like a front shaft from an xj. I know the joints are the correct size on the xj shaft but was wondering if there was any difference in yoke style (on the transfercase) on the cv side of the driveshaft. The reason I ask this is that I have seen yokes listed as "cv" yokes or '"non cv" yokes. like> http://www.partsmike.com/store/store...on=show_detail
the yokes on a cv uses a bolt that goes through the yoke and threads into the cv part and the non cv uses a strap with a smaller bolt that threads into the yoke
take the front shaft and front yoke off a np231 xj and put it on the rear output of the d-300. it bolts up fine. just need to re-tube the d-shaft (or it might be the correct length to begin with sense you are stretching your wheelbase).
be-warned that not all xjs had 231s. so be sure its an np231 before going to the trouble of pulling the yoke and shaft.
Would an 01 Tacoma with manual trans and V6 have cruise control? Not familiar on if std transmissions usually have CC.
yes it could have cruise control. trim package would be the determining factor.
it has more to do what what package it is. why wouldnt a manual have CC?
you can also use the front shaft and yoke from a wagoneer with a q-track, thats what mine are
my 96 manual has cruise control. Also has power windows and locks. Power windows in my wheeling vehicle beeches.
In all seriousness it depended on the trim package, how upgraded it was. It wasn't standard though.
Our 2002 has power windows, power door locks, no cruise control and the worst factory placement of a dash clock I've ever seen.
its hard to find a vehicle without cruise control anymore. i had a single cab 92 chevy 2500 4x4 with standard trans, manual windows and locks, bench seat, tape deck and cruise control.
Morgan's 03 Escape doesnt have CC. It blows. It does, however, have the 3.0L V6 which hauls ass for a little SUV.
I have been in alot of newer vehciles lately without it. Mostly rentals. The 02 Sentra I am driving right now does not.
Been looking at new pickups, but do not want the payment. Found a decent deal on the 01 I asked about, but I think it sold. CC is a must.
When my little sis had the 2006 f-250, it has the xl package so manual everything, no-cruise control. my 2001 f-150 is the xlt so power everything, has cruise control. Just thought I would follow everyone's lead and start a blog.:flipoff2:
my 1980 bronco had cc but it never worked for me... jeep does not, dodge and rogue so but you can get both without if you are really cheap
I don't get it...you have a house and some land now, why not get a real tow b1tch and gooseneck and a comfy, efficient little car for tearing up hwy 105? Probably less money to buy both, even before you start saving a ton on gas every week. I don't think there's a half ton transmission on the planet that was designed to haul that bronco the distances you do.
so when is the truck supposed to be finished. i wanted to make shure brian or i were in town so u could get ur trailer from my lot
