    ^what he said.

On a similar note, I want to make new driveshafts using a double cardan driveshaft from a donor vehicle like a front shaft from an xj. I know the joints are the correct size on the xj shaft but was wondering if there was any difference in yoke style (on the transfercase) on the cv side of the driveshaft. The reason I ask this is that I have seen yokes listed as "cv" yokes or '"non cv" yokes. like> http://www.partsmike.com/store/store...on=show_detail

the yokes on a cv uses a bolt that goes through the yoke and threads into the cv part and the non cv uses a strap with a smaller bolt that threads into the yoke

take the front shaft and front yoke off a np231 xj and put it on the rear output of the d-300. it bolts up fine. just need to re-tube the d-shaft (or it might be the correct length to begin with sense you are stretching your wheelbase).

be-warned that not all xjs had 231s. so be sure its an np231 before going to the trouble of pulling the yoke and shaft.

Would an 01 Tacoma with manual trans and V6 have cruise control? Not familiar on if std transmissions usually have CC.

my 96 manual has cruise control. Also has power windows and locks. Power windows in my wheeling vehicle beeches.

In all seriousness it depended on the trim package, how upgraded it was. It wasn't standard though.

Our 2002 has power windows, power door locks, no cruise control and the worst factory placement of a dash clock I've ever seen.

FYI a 78-79 stock bronco front driveshaft/double cardan is also the same size as a wagoneer front shaft but it is about 2" longer which is perfect for swapping the waggie leaves around.

FYI, my 1999 F-250 had power locks, windows and cruise control, though when I bought it the windows did not work. When I fixed the windows a week later the power locks stopped working. Just wanted everyone to know.
