they come out easy... it is fitting it back in with a 3" spacer
any auto parts store will loan them out. A giant piece of allthread with two forks and some nuts are basically all it is.
take the shocks off and the will fit back in easily. I put my lift springs in w/o a compressor
i will try to do it without them.... looking at writeups it seems that everyone that puts 1-2" on has no problems but the 3" spacers fight you
got the front lift done... will do the rear after work tomorrow
AWESOME! Report back with details!
and pics
got the lift done yesterday and Will and I drove it around.... driving with no sway bars on it fun... gonna have to hook those back up

Looks stock.
Looks good. Would look better with a $5k D60 up front.
x2
Don't worry, most guys think there three inches is bigger.
well the tires are 265 (32") and were way tucked so the 3" makes it looks stock... the 60 will eventually end up in there just not until I already have my atlas and some other goodies
I ordered some front sway bar disconnects that will work with the lift... should come in monday... still need to bolt rear sway bar back on and get it aligned
this thread is worthless without some flex shots, preferably on some of those drive on ramps to change your oil.
ok I will go shoot some pics soon... I just got the sway bars back on and did a home alignment
it is no oil change ramp but it is the biggest rock I could find within a couple blocks of the house that I wouldn't get arrested for going on
so were you on your way to the mall or the grocery store? :flipoff2:
YES! This is the kind of poser shots I was looking for. You can now end this thread, it's complete!
Clayton is 6 weeks out. time to come up with a to do list
-Transfercase Drop kit. (rear driveshaft bines up at flex)
-Rear locker (weld)
-Re-install back seat seatbelts
-Get spare parts (front and rear driveshafts, dana 30 and 35 spare shafts)
-replace broken bulb im one KC light
-Rock sliders (if I have time)
I think that is it... pretty short list
i have a 1" rusty's tcase drop kit somewhere tate if you want that
i have one already... came with spacer kit... didnt want to put it on... but i have to now. i will get rid of it when i order the atlas. the reason i need it is because i still have a slip yoak driveshaft... thanks though
picked up dana 30 shafts and hub asembly at the j-yard out of a 91 xj last week. just pulled my tj shafts to make sure they are the same and they are. I pulled the plastic off the passanger rocker and found a dent. am going to start sliders after i eat an early lunch. i tore a dana 35 down at the yard the other day most of the way but ran out of time before they closed. I need to get back out there and grab those shafts. Also need atleast a rear spare driveshaft and to tear my dana35 down and weld it up. dont have many days off between now and the trip so hopefully today is productive
pulled the dana35 this morning and cleaned it in the parts washer. oil in it was factory and still very clean. Going this evening to use an uncle's mig to weld it up. didn't think my arc welder was up to it with my rusty skills.
also pulled my driveshaft to compare it to the spare one I picked up. As I was afraid of it is 1.5" longer and needs to be cut down. Will knock that out after I finish the sliders.
a couple pics of the sliders mached up... nothing is welded up yet
:flipoff2:
those look almost exactly like the old ones I had made. . .

well there are only so many ways to make them
got them all welded up now. need to run and grab some paint, drill holes and mount them. havent decided how many bolts to hold them up with yet
awsome
what did you have for lunch? Was it good?
How many stop lights did you hit on the way to buy paint?
Did you get anything else while you were out?
sweet blog!
