my dad will do the same thing. you could be spurting blood from your dangling digit and he will pick up the hammer, look it over closely, then look at you and say, "its ok, you didnt hurt it"

I know when he pulls that stuff, I don't know wether to laugh or keep cryin/cussin. It is even funnier to see him do that stuff and watch the changing expressions on his face as he gets pissed, starts to laugh, then gets pissed again.
